Sonia and her husband, Reverend Elvis, currently reside in Ottawa, ON. Together, they have been commissioned to partner with and strengthen several churches in Ontario and Quebec. Sonia is a licensed Minister with the Fellowship of Christian Assemblies (FCA) and a graduate of Carleton University with a degree in Social Studies. She has a passion to see women released into their destinies.
Sonia participated in a project to gather funds to build wells and provide water for a remote community in Rwanda. While in Rwanda, she initiated a sewing program to support the women of the village to provide income for their families. Sonia has also traveled to Uganda on several occasions as a conference speaker. She is the author of Running a Different Race – released in 2016. Sonia was the past President of Aglow International Canada – Ottawa Chapter. She continues to wait in obedience for the Lord’s guidance on running the next race.
Running a Different Race encourages women to be who God made them to be. Success is not measured by the speed at which we run a race, nor is it achieved by obtaining medals of gold, silver or bronze. Rather, as women, we will achieve success as we position ourselves to be obedient to the voice of God and embrace the discipline of our Heavenly Coach. We must not be distracted by whispers of doubt-both internally and externally but enlarge our vision and focus on the goal.
Sonia Henry uses personal life stories and scriptures to uncover the disciplines required to enter and complete the race of life successfully.
